Murray John SawChuck, was born in Vancouver, Canada. This only child started in the business at the tender age of 5 learning how to play the accordion, keyboard, and saxophone. Then at age seven started with dance lessons from ballet, Russian, swing, break dancing, to ballroom. His parents John and Arlene Sawchuk involved him in everything they could from soccer to baseball - snow skiing to horseback riding. He was swimming and golfing at the age of 3! Educationally they would put him in anything he wanted to learn!
Murray has won over 24 awards for his performances worldwide titling him a World Champion. With Murray’s background in music, magic, and dance… his natural movement in to comedy and hosting was a natural. With a degree in Broadcast Communications and Journalism and his knack for comedic timing… He is a shoe-in to host many of the up and coming reality shows that he gets offered. Today, after decades of traveling the world and playing such spots as Las Vegas, Monaco, Paris and the Playboy Mansion, Murray is branching into television and feature films, with roles in the hit series “Reno 911,” “Celebrity Blind Date” and in VH1’s upcoming “Celebracadabra” and the sequel to the smash-success, “War of the Worlds.” |

Murray has exploded onto the entertainment scene with the charisma, personality, and talent of a natural born star! You can’t miss him with is signature electric blonde hair, black framed Armani glasses, and his contagious smile. He is the only one in the world that invented a magic act with Compact Discs. It was his signature for years before he got into television, comedy and hosting shows. His illusion show that he toured with was among one of the most creative in the world today.
At 7 years old, from his parents, Murray got a 4 trick Siegfried and Roy magic kit from Reno, Nevada that lasted on and off for a while until his Uncle and Aunt Bill and Olga Sawchuk bought him another magic set that would change his life forever! Murray had various mentors in life… he always looked up to the legends of the past like Dean Martin, Johnny Carson, Danny Kaye and Lucille Ball and loved how the weren’t just one thing… they were ENTERTAINERS! Murray met Marvyn and Carol Roy a.k.a. Mr. Electric… an act that has toured the world for 50 years and have worked with all the stars… they took a liking to Murray and took Murray from just doing tricks… to an international star!
